Ugandan author Michael is no stranger to eradicating Female Genital Mutilation. For the past 8 years, he has been involved in eradicating Obstetric Fistula and Female Genital Mutilation across East Africa. He has worked with survivors and activists to build safe communities for girls and women in Africa. Four years in the making, Tears of Resilience tells extraordinary stories of women struggling to reclaim their female bodies as a source of power and significance.
The book combines famous African traditional story telling with modern writing and includes illustrations. Contributors discuss struggles arising from genital mutilation and why it is so important for all of us to work harder to eradicate Female Genital Mutilation.
The contributors come from a wide variety of backgrounds in terms of race, class, religion, sexual orientation, and age. They are victims of Female Genital Mutilation survivors, feminists, mothers, scholars, attorneys, poets, medical health providers, all providing perspectives that are ignored, vilified, or underrepresented in the popular media or have never been written about, but are important in discussions promoting legal and social protections for women and girls.

THE BUTCHERS OF WOMANHOOD- FGM ( THE COVENANT OF THE FLESH). Fgm prostitution is a prime satanic sacrifice for a woman prohibited by God, of secrecy with miseries and constrains of disgrace to behold accompanied by many cases of traumatic child delivery requiring medication. There is no open fold of a foreskin in a sexual organ of a woman to cut round that hides dirty stuffs that stinks. Cultural Elites have argued of removing the parts of the male organ in the sexual organ of womanhood. Can they at the same level advocate of amputating of the teats studs at males’ bust and call them women organs in busts of men?
